Gale Storm! "Oh Susanna!" and that wonderful tune she had on the radio, "Dark Moon".
I'm crushed.
Gale Storm, Edie Adams and Ann Sothern were three of my boyhood heart throbs.

In fact, I was watching the Ann Sothren show when they broke in to say that shots had been fired at JFK's motorcade.

Fred was pretty funny as well.

RIP (This needs to slow down a bit. I understand Annette Funicello isn't doing well at all and may soon leave us. I just learned that a true American icon, Walter Cronkite is not doing well, either. Of course his coverage of JFK's death is what many remember him for but just look at his record in WWII.)

Indeed, Brother Dave, I do believe that those 3 beautiful ladies were my first realization that there was something very different about the opposite sex. Plus all 3 had an edge about them that I found attractive even then. R.I.P., Ms. Storm.

This reply made my hair (What's left of it....) stand up! I almost wrote those exact same words! I think Edie Adams could melt porcelain off an oven with one look. I have never forgiven Sid Caeser for trying to get out of the cellar with her in, It's a Mad, etc., World! What was he thinking?
