One of my all time favorites passed away today. He was 97. I don't think he ever did a movie I didn't like. He will be missed!

He was in many of my top movies of all time including, Nevada Smith, One Eyed Jacks and yes, Patton.

A real actor's actor. It's gonna be strange to leave home without him. RIP, Karl.

Wow, what's going on all of a sudden!

Streetcar Named Desire! On the Waterfront (as Father Barry)! Patton!

Streets of San Francisco (TV show). And of course, 'Never Carry Cash, Always Carry American Express Travelers Checks'! (that's right Dave, don't leave home without them)

And what show was that, where they lovingly paid tribute to Karl by all wearing Karl Malden noses? maybe Saturday Night Live or Carol Burnett, I don't remember.

Karl Malden, a great actor.

I agree, Charlie. I'd say 97 is a good age to live till, but how can one afford it. We'll need to win LOTTO, to keep ourselves fed that long. Yikes !

RIP Karl Malden

I had the opportunity to meet him very briefly in San Francisco back around 1980 or so. He was staying in the same hotel I was at when I was attending a conference/seminar.

We were on the same floor, apparently, and I had the encounter with him at the ice machine ! He was waiting for me to fill my ice bucket and suddenly I realized who he was and just basically said to him : "I like your work."
He smiled and that was that.
Everyday people.

Bev.
