Dion- Kickin' Child. the long "lost" album from the late 60's of mostly unreleased songs. Some great tunes, some OK and some not so good.

Todd Rundgren- White Knight His latest . Just so-so in my opinion. Was not overwhelmed by it.

Mike & The Mechanics- let Me Fly The latest from this side project of Mike Rutherford. Harkens back to the sound of the first couple of albums. Very good effort. I have never seen them live but this makes me want to do so.

Todd Rundgren- the latest album inspired me to buy a box set of all of his Bearsville albums from the 70's / 80's. I had a couple of these over the years but found the set hard to resist at $ 30 for 11 releases two of which are 2 album sets. So far I've listened to Runt, Runt The Ballad of Todd Rundgren and am currently listening to Something / Anything which may be his best effort overall.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band- 4 cd deluxe edition. Listened to this most of the weekend. The two cds of different unreleased takes of the same songs was good to hear but it's not something you'll listen to often.

I thought the new stereo mix sounded fine and it was nice to also have the original mono mix and some versions of both Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane.

I've spent all day today listening to various Allman Brothers Band cds- ABB, Idlewild South, Brothers & Sisters, Enlightened Rogues, A Decade Of Hits and selections from the box set Dreams. I can't find my copies of either Live At Fillmore East or Eat A Peach or any other albums by them yet.

Alice Cooper's latest album, Paranormal, is real great.

his buddy Glen Campbell's last album Adios is real great.

Rusty Young's new album Waitin' for the Sun is a must have, real great.

Also am going to get Chris Hillman's new one and Ringo Starr's new one.

Can not get enough of Waitin' for the Sun, though. Spin it every day so far. What to you call that, an instant classic or something?

Right now, in between spins of Waitin' for the Sun .. I'm listening to Under the Gun for the first time in quite a spell.

wooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh what a great album. It reminded be that Poco knows when a good sax part would hit the spot.

Think Hillman's latest was a little disappointing after one listen, but will give it some more time - hope it gets better with each listen.

This thread always a favorite feature of this board. Great place to hear about new music, or older music I'd forgotten about or missed.

For myself, been listening to:
"Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie" (like a new Fleetwood Mac album, especially with Mick Fleetwood and John McVie on drums and bass)

The Coors - "White Light"

Brad Paisley - "Love And War"

Gladys Knight & the Pips - "Gold" (I forgot how great this group was.)

Raspberries - "Pop Art Live"

Bill Lloyd - "LLOYD*ERING"

Zac Brown Band - "Welcome Home"

The High Kings - "Friends for Life"
