The Obama remark was meant as a dig at the press. and how they treated him and still do. Like he has the magic or power to make everything allright. Sorry. It's the same in how they treat rock stars. they are just people who a gifted and has made it there life's work, nothing more.

I have to say that I really, really thought he was going to jump out of that casket and start performing! A real Jack in the Box! It could have been the greatest hoax of all times! I wonder how many Elvis impersonators were there?

ok .... I'm done ! ;)

Weird ... I had that same thought. What an awesome way to kick off a comeback!!!

When his daughter spoke, MJ immediately turned into something that not many took seriously, he was a father and his children will miss him. I think he probably was the "best daddy" as Paris said and I believe he never mistreated, molested a child as so many still want to believe. Just my opinion.

My first thoughts were of Lennon and Elvis. Elvis' death came closer to Jacksons as far as coverage, but I expected this. Was he "worth" all the hoopla?? Not for me to answer. I won't miss him one way or the other, but the man had tons of fans, and on that level I can relate.
We are living in the future. I'll tell you how I know. I read it in the paper, 15 years ago.

I haven't yet seen any of todays program. I expect to see plenty this evening and I agree that Paris' words will move me. God bless her and her brothers.

MJ was emotionally and pyschologically backwards. I also don't believe he was guilty. should he be raised up as this great artist Yes. Should he be lionized as a great and immortal hero no. Some of his decisions were wierd and bizzare. But that does not mean he is a pedophile. But this whole ceremony and funeral is a vehicle for Al Sharpton and the Jackson family to get more money and publicity for themselves
