According to Wiki, Drake left in 1966 to join the National Guard. He later did some reunion stuff but I wonder about Lindsay's mention of him in 1967;


I feel that Drake never got the recognition he was due. Go back and listen to the Raiders' guitar solos through 1967 (our heyday I think) and you will hear that unique combination of talent and intellect that always knew what and what not to play.

I think Drake Levin was on the next single that was released in early 1967.
Then was replaced by Jim Valley who was in less then a year, until Freddie Weller joined!
