Folks that don't use street language to get a laugh. I do love Pryor and Carlin, but hey, they ain't "current". Louis Black is pretty good, Hey, a new thread is in order. Laurel and Hardy had an intensely warm and personal relationship which only made their on-screen work much deeper and more timeless.
The story of the Stooges is one of perfection and dedication. Their physical comedy, which set them apart from acts like the Marx Brothers, would be their signature for the length of their preforming careers.
There is a school of thought that every man has the basic characteristics of a particular Stooge. I know a lot of us have the Larry Fine hair style.
Be that as it may, there is one Stooge episode where Shemp is bound and gagged in a closet and is rescued by Moe and Larry. Some of you may recall that one. From the first time I saw that scene to this day it still makes me laugh so hard I can hardly breathe.
Same thing with the Laurel and Hardy, "Pipe" scene. Great stuff and not one cuss word or sexual innuendo.
