I know that this probably doesn't belong on this thread..I will come back to it with my memories shortly..but I am so excited..

I will be in NYC tomorrow afternoon (Wed) into Thursday..Just found out that Paul McCartney is the special guest for the David Letterman show...they just announced that he will NOT be playing on the inside stage..but rather on TOP OF THE Ed Sullivan theater Marquee "roof top"...this way so many more people can see him !!

I am definitely going to walk down to Broadway to see this !

No, this is for anything Beatle related and that's cool as well!

I'm just blown away by the fact that so many of our members saw them live and the two Shea concerts, well that's beyond words. I don't know what compares unless someone went to Monterey and Woodstock.

I have two :
1. Watching them on the Ed Sullivan show at 9 years old
2. Seeing Paul McCartney at Foxboro Stadium 1990.
30,000+ singing "Let It Be" with candles a-light was breathtaking

Am I mistaken but didn't the Three Stooges appear on one of Ed's shows when the Beatles were on the same show? I can't recall, but there was some big Brit band on and the Stooges were booed by all the kids. How sick was that? I mean, we're talkin' Stooges here.

There are a number of musical moments that stand out in my mind...I'll post them here as they come to mind.

The ringing guitar throughout " I Want To Hold Your Hand "
The end of " She Loves You ", where they go into that last drawn out " yeah "
Courage Wolf sez...

I just love (to this day) listening to the drums on She Loves You.

Good one, Bonnie! And Steve's, "Yeah" as well!
I liked Paul's, "Yessss" on The Night Before", the, "Mr. Wilson, Mr. Heath" in the background of "Taxman".
The amazing, Yes It Is ending.
The short intro to, "Get Back" as they chug into the start.
Paul's high harmonies on, "Act Naturally" and, "The Ballad of John and Yoko".
The, "Well, well, well, you're feeling fine..." On Doctor Robert.

By the way, Bonnie. How's the guitar coming along? I imagine you're getting rather good by now.

I got to see Ringo twice. The First and Second tours of the All Starr band. The second tour had TBS as his bassist. They were fun shows.

This is not a silly love song, it's one hell of a great rock 'n roll love song
with awesome vocals.
