Discuss the band.

I have always been a huge fan of Karla Bonoff. I think I have just about all of her CDs including a couple of things she did with Bryndle. She will be playing at the Coach House Oct 24th. Has anyone here ever seen her perform? Any other fans?

I saw Karla in 2008 here in Iowa. Kenny Edwards did an opening solo set of 25 minutes. Then he joined Karla and a female lead guitarist (name escapes me. check Karla's website). I was disappointed that Karla's set was only 60-65 minutes long. Nevertheless, it was outstanding. She did many of her hits and a Bryndle tune. Still a great voice.
Then she readily signed stuff and talked to fans afterwards. I told her that I had waited 30 years to see her perform again. In 1978 I was in college when she opened for Jackson Browne in Omaha, Nebraska.
Enjoy the show. I'm encouraging the Iowa venue to bring her back when she plays some midwest dates this fall.

Saw Karla in 1988 playing an acoustic bill at the University of Rhode Island with Rick Danko, Al Stewart, Gene Clark and at least one or two others I can't recall. It was one of those unplugged things but every artist especially Karla and Gene were superb. I was there during her soundcheck and she was very nice to all the college kids that were helping her out. Always loved Karla and missed her recent appearance in my neck of the woods. Something about a Stagecoach Festival or something getting in the way.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm going to pick up a couple of tickets tomorrow, along with a couple of Richie tickets. He plays at the Coach House the week before. It will be a good month!

I saw her in Austin, Texas with Bryndle. She is so good. I really love her voice.I first heard of her as a songwriter for both Bonnie Raitt and Linda Ronstadt. After I saw her name as writer I looked for her LP's and found them and knew I would enjoy her albums which I did. Thanks for letting us share our stories about Karla with each other.

I saw Karla open for James Taylor MANY years ago and then again a couple years back in Largo, Florida, with Kenny Edwards. My only compaint about the most recent show was that I missed the third harmony part on her songs.
