Those are the chords being played during the line or verse. You kinda have to figure where the chord change takes place

"guess im a little confused when you show two chords at once its that the notes being played in the first chord listed or are you actualy switching between the two chords"
Lumpyrider, if you are referring to chords such as "D/C#" in the Midnight Rain tab, read this as "finger a D chord, but add the note C#." The easiest way do this is to lay your first finger across the second fret of the first three strings.

I don't have my sheet music for PUTP (in key of C)-- it's one of the few songs I remember without "going to the paper"
But, here's a couple that I do have chords to:
KIND WOMAN (Written by Richie Furay) Recorded by Buffalo Springfield, "Last Time Around" LP and by Poco, "Live" LP
VERSE 1 C F F# G Got a good reason for loving you F C F-Em-Dm-C It's an old fashion sigh C F F# G I kinda get the feelin' like mmm you know when F C F-Em-Dm-C Fell in love the first time.
CHORUS: Am C-Am Kind woman Am F Won't you love me tonight C F-C-F G The look in your eyes Am C-Am Kind woman Am7 F Don't leave me lonely tonight C F-Em-Dm-C Please say it's all right
VERSE 2: C F - F# - G Remember once before hearing the old folks say F C F-Em-Dm-C Love's an ageless old prize C F - F# - G Nowadays you know the saying depends so much on F C F-Em-Dm-C The kind of woman that you find.
REPEAT CHORUS
INTERLUDE
REPEAT CHORUS

============= Crazy Love by POCO The actual song is played in E (?) using normal fingerings for these chords with a capo at the 4th fret. Hope it's OK. Verse 1: Fmaj7 C Fmaj7 Tonight I'm gonna break away G Fmaj7 C Just you wait and see. Fmaj7 I'll never be imprisoned by G Fmaj7 C a faded memory. Verse 2: Fmaj7 Just when I think I'm over her, G Fmaj7 C this broken heart will mend. Fmaj7 I hear her name and I have to cry, G Fmaj7 C the tears come down again. Chorus: Fmaj7 It happens all the time. G C This crazy love of mine, Fmaj7 wraps around my heart G C refusing to unwind. Fmaj7 G Fmaj7 C Ooo Ooo Crazy Love Fmaj7 G Fmaj7 C Ahh ha Verse 3: Count the stars in a summer sky, that fall without a sound. And then pretend that you can't hear these tear drops coming down. Chorus Verse 4: Tonight I'm gonna break away Just you wait and see I'll never be imprisoned by a faded memory. Chorus C Fmaj7 Tonight I'm gonna break away.
