Poco live in Seattle 1974

Postby Straycat » Sun Jul 19, 2009 10:42 pm

SugarMegs is one of my favorite sites for listening/downloading live music. They are constantly adding new stuff, and I believe this is a recent addition. I hadn't heard it before (though I was in attendance for this one).

Paul Cotton – guitars, vocals
Rusty Young – pedal steel guitar, banjo, Dobro, guitar, mandolin, vocals
Timothy B. Schmit – bass, harmonica, vocals
George Grantham – drums, vocals

Setlist:
01. Blue Water
02. Fools Gold
03. Bad Weather
04. Drivin' Wheel
05. I Can See Everything
06. Ride The Country
07. Here We Go Again
08. Faith In Families
09. Angel
10. I Guess You Made It
11. Restrain
12. A Right Along
13. Hoe Down
14. Railroad Days(cut in middle due to tape flip)
15. Good Feelin' To Know
16. C'mon

Not bad for an audience tape from this era. About 2 hours in length.

Wondering when they'll come back to Seattle- only 2 shows in the past 13 years...

Thanks for the heads up. June 1, '74, I was probably still in Pullman for that one. Looks like the Paris show was added recently because the '72 Central Park show has been the only one there.

Thanks so much Straycat. That is a great find. Excellent for an audience recording. Brings back many memories of my favorite version of Poco. The fab four at their finest. What a set list. And to hear the fabulous George Grantham singing his part on Drivin Wheel is just to hard to describe. This is why Poco and their live show is the Icon of the Industry and the staple for others to try and duplicate. They were and still are the absolute best at what they do.

Thanks again

Wow, Straycat! Thanks. I'm listening to it right now. It's great. Now, it'll be another hour and a half till I get any housework done today.
Let your thoughts be kind...Have a little peace of mind.
