You can pause , mix it up, lable the tracks just about anything, there is noise reduction and many other option. We have a Ion usb turntable that we got through Geek Overload for 99.00 plus a bit for shipping..It's pretty amazing all the things it will do.

You mentioned you can label the tracks. Is this digitally encoded, so it would appear on an IPOD, etc .....? I have a couple of cd's people burned for me from lp's, but when I put them on my IPOD, the tracks are not identified. Once you get used to that, it's pretty hard to live without. I have a pretty large LP collection still, including "Blue & Grey", which I would love to convert. The labeling issue, and interface with my IPOD would probably be the deciding factor. I'm sitting on some Best Buy gift cards I got for my 50th Birthday too!
