As promised here's the set list. There were a couple of breaks in between, the band really rocked, Paul was smokin' on his new Bird of Paradise and his vocals were just so powerful. What a show ! THANK YOU to the Paul Cotton Band for making this a very worth while trek.
sockless Claudia

Under The Gun
Barbados
Indian Summer
A Child's Claim To Fame
Bad Weather (Mike Roddy played Richie's old acoustic part - Paul was Paul, of course)
Too Many Nights Too Long
Honky Tonk Downstairs
Captain John (Joel sang lead)
I Can Hear Your Heartbeat (first time ever played live - WOW)
It Never Goes Away
Into The Mystic
Please Wait For Me (OMG)
Keep On Tryin'
Do What You Do
Isle Of Sirens
Ride The Country
Good Feelin' To Know
Cajun Moon
Magnolia
Heart Of The Night

Midnight Rain (OMG)
On The Way Home

P.S. Russ kept a low profile but was awesome on bass, Joel sang, played guitar and 'mouth organ', Mike was playing anything not nailed down and boy can he sing, Dick Moody tore things up with his sax on Cajun Moon, Magnolia & HOTN, and closed out the show with Midnight Rain & On The Way Home. And, as I mentioned, our Captain was at the top of his game (you can't touch that !).

Don't think, for one minute, I don't know that, Donna. I thank God every day, for knowing these boyz (Paul and his band, and our beautiful POCO). They've brought so much joy to our lives.

I was talking to a fellow poconut just yesterday and we were discussing songs that we wish the Boyz would play and several of them were on the set list like:
Ride The Country
Do What You Do
Too Many Nights Too Long

Is there a place to find out where Paul's band is sheduled to play? I know it is alway in the Key West area. I may have another chance to go down there later this year or early next year and would love to see him/them play.

Sounds like it was a great show. I had the privilege of seeing the PCB on opening night of Pocofest I in Idaho in 2001. That setlist was:

I Can Hear your Heartbeat (sorry, 7/25/09 was not the first time PCB played it live)
Do What You Do
Woman With A Broken Heart
Indian Summer
Firebird
Cajun Moon
One Long Last Look
Barbados
Bad Weather
Across A Painted Sky
Midnight Rain
Legend
Heart of the Night
Magnolia
Boomerang
Ride The Country

I made an audio recording of this 2001 show. Paul has a copy. Contact me off board and I'll be happy to trade it with you.

To tell you the truth, I wrote that because ' I think ' Paul made that comment during the show (I'd never heard it live, so who's to argue with The Captain), but maybe I goofed and it was Isle of Sirens. Sounds like you saw a great show back in 2001.
