Moon Landing

A week or so ago was the 40th aniverisary of Neil Armstrongs famous first steps of Men on the Moon. Can anybody remember watching it on TV with the commentary of Walter Cronkite who just recently passed away. I was watching coverage of the most recent space shuttle mission on NASA tv channel and they had Niels famous words of "One small step for Man one giant leap for Mankind" at the exact moment of the fourty anniversary which I thought was really appropriate

Yes, I remember. I great day in our history.

I watched Apollo 13 last night. The third trip to the moon. Although they never made it to the surface. The nation had alreadly lost interest in going to the moon, until there was a accident. To quote Gene Krantz in the movie. It was probably our finest our getting those guys home.

Seems as though so much happened in '69! None of which have I forgotten.

And a reminder to anyone who cares, Little Feat formed 40 years ago as well!
(I couldn't "NOT" mention that) :D
We are living in the future. I'll tell you how I know. I read it in the paper, 15 years ago.
