It's "hump day"...and aren't we all bored, waiting for the weekend??

Here's something I got from a friend. I'm too lazy to fool around and figure out the relationships of the various numbers being added, multiplied, subtracted and divided, but there are those here who probably can.

1. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the Area code...)
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add 1
4 Multiply by 250
5. Add to this the last 4 digits of your phone number
6. Add to this the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
7. Subtract 250
8. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the number???

Oddly enough a girl in a bar gave me this formula when I asked her for her phone #.

Apparently she was the "smartest girl" in the bar..knowing I was to "stupid" to figure it out!!

3. Add 1 Remember that 1 times 250 equals 250
4 Multiply by 250 250 times 80 equals 20,000
5. Add to this the last 4 digits of your phone number Simple enough
6. Add to this the last 4 digits of your phone number again. Pretty much the same as adding 2 times your last 4
7. Subtract 250 Removes the 1 added at Step 3
8. Divide number by 2 Viola, turns the 20,000 from Step 4 into 10,000 and the 2 times last 4 into just the last 4

You have just taken the first 3 numbers time 10,000 and added the last 4. Cute trick.

I dialed the number I came up with and got an answering machine that said, "Governor Palin can no linger be reached at this number."

I must have done something wrong.

The only joke that comes to mind is the one where the father takes his little girl to the barber but everyone knows that one.
