Richie posted this earlier today on Facebook- no further details, though.

"Recovering from a "sooner than expected surgery" I had yesterday but, I'm doing fine and looking forward to getting up and about getting back east in a couple of weeks to play some music."

Richie has not posted any further info on Facebook or otherwise as to the nature of the surgery.

Several posters asked and he has offered nothing in return to those questions.
