Releases are coming thick and fast at the moment, but there wont be many better than The Damn Quails debut album "Down the Hatch". Never mind Band Of Heathens, Ryan Bingham or Hayes Carll, this duo from Oaklahoma have come up with a cracking debut album that to me is better than any of the aforementioned have come up with, fourteen solid tracks and not a bad one among em.
The first release on 598 recordings which is partly the brainchild of Mike McClure who along with Joe Hardy produced this damn fine album. You just can't keep a good man down.
