from the bass player

I just got home a few hours ago and admittedly it was an exhausting, but
amazing weekend. Yes, we played to standing ovations both nights. The
Ridgefield audience was smaller but just as receptive as Hippiefest on
Sunday where there were about 2000 - 3000 people! Vince and Mark were
amazing as you'd expect. You know, when we rehearsed I though they were
great but put them on the stage in front of an audience and it's 1969 all
over again! Vince doesn't even know this next item yet because he went home
Sunday night while the rest of us stayed in a hotel. I met Mark "Flo" Volman
(Flo and Eddie) of The Turtles Sunday night, and I ran into him again in the
hotel this morning. We chatted for quite a while. He said that we should be
on the tour next year and "close the show in Mountain's spot because you
were so powerful."

Can you believe it? In the middle of a quiet part of a song, I really don't
remember which one it was, Mark said on the mic, "You know, I'm really NOT
too old for this!", and the crowd went nuts!! I just looked over and smiled.
It is SO COOL to see Vince and Mark together. They seemed so happy and
wanting to Rock. We could read the lips of people singing Hangin' On and
Take Me For A Little While right along with us. On both shows, we asked the
crowd to help us out with Hangin' On and we stopped playing while a couple
to three thousand people on Long Island sang, "You just keeeep meeee hangin-
on." It was so cool!

Over the two shows, Vince sang Ticket To Ride, Shotgun, Season of The Witch,
Rock and Roll, and Good Good Livin'. Vince played and sang better than ever!

Saturday set List (90 minutes) (Mark changed the order on stage, not sure if
the order is correct here)

The Changeling

Ticket To Ride

Take Me For a LIttle While

Good Good Livin'

People Get Ready

Dazed and Confused

Shotgun

Rock and Roll

Season of The Witch

Let's Pray For Peace

You Keep Me Hanging On

She's Not There

We were only given 45 minutes on Sunday as 6 bands played, we had to cut out
a LOT obviously.

I don't think I've had so much fun since my kids were born.

Peace,
pb
