Great clip. Looks like Les was sportin' Converse. Is that class or what?

He once broke his right arm badly (can't remember how) and if I recall correctly he had to have it set in the guitar playing position (bent at elbow). Now that's dedication!!

Found this precious piece of video, from the late, great Carl Perkins, with the late, great George Harrison, and Eric Clapton, Dave Edmunds, Ringo and towards the end is a tribute to the style of the late, great Les Paul. ENJOY !

Just the tribute, with George adding a faint vocal:

Followed up by more goodies, from the same show (a few awesome guitar men inspired by Les Paul & Carl Perkins):

Bev,

Here's some info:

From the short-lived NBC late-night music show Rock and Roll Tonite comes this 1983 clip featuring an extended jam between guitar god Jeff Beck and one of his own greatest heroes―none other than pioneering musical/engineering genius Les Paul. Introduced and assisted by Billy Squier, the rare, home-recorded clip of “Chicken Shack Blues” and another jam may not be the best quality, but captures a rare moment of collaboration and warm mutual admiration between two guitar giants. Check out Les’ playful reaction when Jeff really gets cookin’! Taped for broadcast at Pasadena, California’s Perkins Palace, sources report Beck himself was instrumental in setting up the historic summit meeting/jam.
