NY Times Ad For PNC / Jones Beach

It was noted in a different thread here that George was to be at PNC and perform at Jones Beach.

Jon R is usually a source I'll put stock in over an ad any day of the week.

I'll still be at the PNC show and I'll just hope for the best.

I'm hoping he does perform in NJ, because I won't be at Jones Beach ..

Can anyone say with certainty that George Grantham will actually appear at these shows? That would make this a truly significant Poco event.

I just saw an ad in the Sunday NY times (I get the entertainment section with Saturday's paper) that says George Grantham will be part of the show at both the PNC and Jones Beach shows.

Could be an error- they also say Paul is an original member of Poco in the ad.

Simply put- no you don't.

It is not meant as any type of disrespect for Paul but he is simply not an original member of the band. He deserves to be respected for what he has contributed to the band over the time he has been a member.

It only confuses people who are trying to get factual information about the band from before they were aware of them to meld fact from fiction and from what one wants to believe.

Jim Messina was an original member of the band and his extraordinary replacement is the talented musician Paul Cotton. Facts should not be colored by personal feelings.

The photo in the ad is from the afternoon run through at the Belcourt in 2004....but it looks like the ad cut Jack out of the photo

Yes, they did cut Jack out of that picture, but they can't cut him from this awesome line-up, Jack will be right where he belongs.
