Video of Pick up the Pieces and You Better Think Twice. Lighting kind of harsh but the sound quality is decent. I tried to keep my camera on George as much as possible. I've got the rest of the concert recorded and I'll do my best to upload.

Under the Gun. The opening of this has a very long and cheesy and awkward introduction by a local radio dj. I felt bad for the band.

It's been fun to "ride along" with Jim on Facebook.

The Jones Beach venue looks like they cut a baseball stadium in half. How's the sound there?

Tony, I think we'd all like to forget. But if you drink enough it's really kind of funny to listen to. Almost like a parody of what a cheesy disk jockey would sound like.

The sound quality wasn't bad. I was fairly close to the stage in the front section. Not close enough to get better video because I had to zoom in and I had a lot of people in front of me who kept getting excited and standing up. Poco will do that to you. It is a pretty cool venue in a very strange, almost land that time forgot location. In Rhode Island the beaches are very commercial with a lot of little restaurants and bars around. Jones Beach reminds me of an abandoned military base with miles of overgrown runways. No commerce anywhere nearby. Many people hung out in the large FREE parking area and tailgated. I'd say a bunch of Logginheads stayed in the tailgate mode during Poco because the crowd swelled after their set-especially the corporate boxes that were located right in front of me.

Hi Tony,
If you were looking for the perfect you should have been at PNC on Saturday night. The band and the audience were rocking. As for playing On The Way Home and Child's Claim to fame... aren't they Buffalo Springfield songs? As you know Richie does sing Springfield songs with his own band. This was a Poco show and with the 1 hour limit I think that they would want to sing their best known songs don't know why they would have included them. As for the dj I thought she was doing her job which was to introduce the band(except she neglected to mention Jack or George L. who were on the stage at the time) and to tell you who was sponsoring the show. That's part of her job cheesy or not.

In all fairness to 'JONES BEACH', Alex, it is still one of the longest, most beautiful, white sand beaches in the world (and I've seen them all). The water is not the best, after a hurricane (lots of seaweed and muck, washed up). I'll agree, there is very little commercialism (is that a word ?), just a few gift shops along the boardwalk, and they are adding a couple of new restaurants. I hope you will come back again someday, and see her through different eyes. Good to see you and all the nuts, and Poco (Rusty Paul Jack George) Richie Furay, George Grantham and Jim Messina were just simply, the bomb !

I wasn't knocking Jones Beach. I was just telling someone today (from Queens) about what a great place the venue was. I never got to the beach. I just saw miles of asphalt parking lots. He explained to me that you have to walk about a half a mile from those lots to get to the beach. In RI, the parking lots are right next to the beach and the commercialism isn't necessarily cool. I prefer the beaches at Cape Cod or even some of the more isolated beaches in Rhode Island but even those you generally park right next to the shore. Hey Claudia, remember where I come from. Everything seems strange and different to me. And I didn't even mention the other world that is wine country out near Orient Point. I'm already planning a day trip there with my wife when the kids are away at Boy Scout Camp. I never knew that existed. It's like Sonoma Valley and my whole life it's only been a one hour drive and a one hour ferry ride to get there.

I would go back to the Nikon theater again. And I'd take more time to explore the entire shoreline.

Linda, I just listened to the intro again and she spends over 90 seconds telling everyone about this great lawn furniture giveaway her station is sponsoring. Then she spends thirty seconds introducing the band and I found her "Crazy Love" reference cringe inducing. It wouldn't have been that hard to remember the names Sundrud and Lawrence. And did that Pogo story add anything? The band is all psyched to take the stage and then they had to wait for what seemed an eternity for this introduction. They didn't do this to Loggins and Messina. If all she had done was introduce the band I would have overlooked her lame attempt at humor. I'm sure she's a very nice person.
