Beatles - Anthology on VH-1 tonight

For those of you who are interested, tonight (8-26) on VH-1, at 9 pm, EST, there will be Part 1 of the Beatles Anthology...originally broadcast from 1995.

I believe Part 2 and 3 will be on the next two Wednesdays ...

The only problem with the TV Anthology is
1. The cut it up.

2. They don't show the 5th DVD.

When it came out on VHS they also left out a huge part, and when it came out on DVD they included all the footage, thus the 5th DVD

I wonder if the VH-1 broadcast is the beginning of the media buildup for the remastered Beatles CD releases on Sept 9.

I think you're right...Last night, there were commercials left and right for it..the graphics for it actually look pretty nice.

My love for the Beatles has been transferred to my 4 kids..they love playing Rock Band and I said I will attempt it for the first time when the Beatles program comes out.

Wish me luck with that hand-and-eye co-ordination at my age !

The dvd set is outstanding. I purchased the VHS when it first appeared and a couple of years ago purchased the dvd set. There is a lot on the dvd set that did not appear on the original VHS set. I recommed it highly to any Beatles fan.

I really enjoyed the show. Looking forward to the other parts. I can hear how The Beatles influenced Poco's vocals early on.
