This will be the proverbial "challenging" season for the Houston Astros. The team stinks, and will continue to stink all season. They have moved to the AL West so I don't think too many people will be staying up to watch or listen to West Coast games ending at or past midnight.

But very few games will be televised anyway. The Astros (and Houston Rockets) have started their own "Comcast Sport Network" which is not being carried by DISH, Direct TV, Uverse, etc. because of the high fees CSN is demanding.

As one enterprising local reporter put it, "If no one sees the Astro's games, do the losses actually count?"
"Don't Stop The Carnival." (You've got to play by Kinja rules.)

There's just no truth to the rumor that because the Astros were so bad last year, they were kicked out of the National League.

I just can't comment on the 2013 Baseball Season without at least acknowledging the loss of the Man!

Stan, you meant a lot to Baseball and even more to the Cardinals.

I don't think St. Louis would have noticed as much if we'd lost the Arch!

Some really great articles in the NY press when Musial passed away. I realized he was great, but I probably under rated him and his career and he sounded like he was as great a human being.
