The Radials, and The Damphools...new Country Rock and Roots

A couple of great new country rock and roots bands i feel obliged to tell you about :D

Firstly The Radials and their self titled Debut, nearly passed this one by as i did,nt care a lot for the vocals, on first listen thought they were a bit flat, but something drew me back and i discovered some great music on listening again. Some of the picking is excellent especially steel guitar on "Three New Shades Of Rust" and the Lead and Steel on the wonderful " Chophouse Blues" (these two songs are certainly stuck in my head at the moment). And now after a few plays i'm lovin the vocals as well, George Jones certainly springs to mind.

Secondly The Damphools and their promising debut album Damn the Hard Times, including their versions of "Sing Me Back Home" and "Why Baby Why"

Well the music pours out on the street
Just as clean and cool as a cotton sheet

Country Rock, it's timeless
it's song will never ever age
Country Rock, it's in my bones
and they'll be singing along in my grave

Thanks Rog!
You are always on top of the country rock/roots rock/Americanna rock/folk rock...whatever is politically correct these days. I just call it good stuf!!!
We are living in the future. I'll tell you how I know. I read it in the paper, 15 years ago.

Good stuff indeed Bob thanks for the reply, after playing the hell outta the Radials songs on their myspace, finally recieved the album this morning, it's one of those that just blows you away and has to be one of the best debuts ever, brilliant stuff.
I'm surprised that these guys did,nt draw more comments from the nuts.
