Love 'Coast'; it's very different but it works for me! Never liked 'Changing Horses'. Sorry Paul. Firebird to me is a Poco album and it's better than Running Horse, which came out at roughly the same time.

I've never heard anything done by the Cap that I hate...that being said however, I've never been able to totaly embrace Horses anywhere near the way I totaly cherish everything else that he has done....I blame it on the 80's propduction as I hated most of the whole electronic synth crap that was so prevolent those days.....

I like all three of Paul's solo CD's, but I'd have to say I like Changing Horses the best. I agree that Changing Horses has a sound similiar to Inamoratta.

I seem to remember a different CD of Paul making the rounds at Wildwood last year. I think it might have been acoustic. I never got one or heard it. Any reviews of it? I know

I do have it, Jim, and I had bought several off of Peter, at Wildwood Springs Lodge, October 2008 (where it was intoduced) and subsequently bought more from Caroline & Paul, in Nashville, so interested 'Poconuts for Cappy' could have a listen (so many of you are not able to get to shows). I'm out of them, but I've been told (by a little birdie) that The Sunset Kidd CD, and other goodies, will be available on www.paulcotton.com, very soon.

NOTE: This CD is not quite an 'unplugged' version of Coast, but, more like, the very first take of it, with our Captain Paul walking on the beach in Curacao, as his producer/friend Peter Van Leeuwen recorded his gorgeous vocals and guitar (birds & ocean breezes in the background). Peter actually told me that he walked along side Paul with a big hat, trying to block those same breezes from distorting the recording. The CDs were a wedding gift, from Peter, to The Cottons, and I love The Sunset Kidd.
