Laura Cantrell

For the last decade, Laura Cantrell has been one of my favorite country artists. She has a new fantastic CD called “No Way There From Here”. Last Saturday she appeared on CBS This Morning and did a couple of songs. Besides currently touring the East Coast and appearing at SXSW, she announced 10 gigs in the east and mid-Atlantic, Michigan, and Toronto, in July opening for a Scottish band called Camera-Obscura. They are a six-piece band with a very good female lead singer and very good players including steel guitar. Check out their studio sessions found on their home page. If I was back east, I’d go to see them for sure.
