GeorgeG not making the Show in CO
Posted: Thu Jan 08, 2015 3:08 pmWhile I am not going to be able to attend the induction ceremony in Co, I was saddened to hear the news that George will not be able to make it.
I was fortunate to see POCO with George, from the first row in 2004 for the video shoot in Nashville. His face was absolutely beaming with a smile. Sadly, not too long after that show George suffered his stroke. In May, I was able to attend the birthday show in NJ for Richie, with Rusty and George sitting in. I got a chance to speak with George for about 10 minutes before the show. You could tell what a thrill it was for him to be there. The smile on George's face as he sang with Richie and Rusty was the same smile as he had in Nashville 10 years earlier, a little more worn from age, but still beaming.
Hopefully, someone will hook George up with the ability to do a Skipe or Facetime thank you during the show. Easy to hook up and I suspect it would make George's day!
