Allmans right up there with Poco as my all time faves, and definitely the most shows, about 30 since 1979. Would not have thought he's precede Gregg and Dickey...hopefully they regroup soon for at least a few shows...

The story gets sadder. Palm Beach Post reports today that his death was a suicide: he shot himself in the head in his wife's presence.
