I thought I'd be honing my chops on electric. I've barely touched it! However, I will bring the Les Paul you played before, but its been serviced and tweaked, so its in much better condition. Also, bringing a small amp, an Orange 35RT Crush. Its solid state, but it acts and sounds a lot like a tube amp. It may only be 35W, but it sounds like a big boy in my little man cave. I'm looking forward to see how it plays in a room with noise! You are certainly welcome to use both or either.

Thanks for the kind offer, Mark. But YOU should play YOUR Gibson. Whether you're just picking a few notes, playing rhythm chords, or blasting away on a solo, the guitar will be easy on your ears (and, over 2.5 days of hoedowning, even easier on your fingers)!!
