You mentioned "the drummer". Maybe I missed this, but you have lined us up? (You always take care of everything!) Who do we have coming?

The mah-ve-los Gerry Dunleavy is joining us again!! Gerry is Ace's work colleague who made his hoedown debut last year.
:D

Also...I have pulled your music stand out of storage with the other gear...and will bring it. I'm sorry that I packed it away and forgot to ship it to you last year. But...you will be reunited with it...finally!!

Alright! Gerry is great. I'm so glad you wrangled him back to good ol' Borrego!

Funny how I could pack the empty box to the music stand and forget the stand. I guess I'm not getting any brighter.

Well, I'm feeling kinda dim for packing it away instead of returning it to you...

BTW...just saw on FB that it's Gerry's b'day today.

ABC Evening News tonight did a brief pictorial (the wildflowers were GORGEOUS) and said the peak time will be "...late this month."

Hoedown XIII will begin on March 30---perfect timing. Candy says she's bringing her camera and wants to take a bunch of pictures.

I hope she loves it! Me, I've always found desert blooms rather underwhelming.

Whenever I've visited the East Coast or Colorado, I'm always told how "beautiful California is"! All the while I'm looking all around at the beauty these folks live in. And I think to myself of my home in So. Cal which is mostly brown!

Maybe always greener on the other side?

There were places around Poway and just before the turn onto S2 from CA 79 where wildflowers carpeted the fields, Mark. The blooms down in the desert itself are not as vast, nor as dense, as those in the higher elevations.

But, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

You need to recruit Jimmy M. He's been know to make a morning hike through the Palm Canyon Trail to the Palm Oasis:

Wait 'til you make the descent into the desert. The last 10-12 miles winding down the mountain afford some incredible vistas.
