Poconut

I just purchased the newly remastered Fools Gold album that was originally released in 1976. The 2 earlier cd versions of this album sounded flat. Both versions sounded as though whoever remastered the album overused noise reduction technology. There were no highs. Even piano notes were cut short. The new Floating World Records version is much improved and sounds much more like the lp. The album sounds cleaner and I am hearing greater separation of vocals and instruments. If you own the earlier cd versions of this album, you can now confidently toss them and buy this one. You won't be sorry. I'm just disappointed that there is no information on who did the remaster. It's not an amazing job, but it's much improved.
