We just got back from LA meetings with the record label- BluElan. To top off a great trip, we met up with Randy Meisner. We've been friends since 1966. He sends his Love to all of you.

Wonderful to see a smile on Randy's face. And you too Rusty! Never met Randy, but he seems like a kind and gentle person. 'Try and Love Again' is such a beautiful song.

Nice that you two were able to visit. I would have loved to have been at the next table evesdropping.
Thanks for sharing Rusty great picture.

Sorry Poconuts and Eagles lovers. Randy looks terrible. It shows what drugs and alcohol can do to a person. He has that distant stare and looks very weak. Prepare yourselves. Could be Gregg Allman all over again.

"Distant stare"? Rusty isn't even looking at the camera.

Randy's trails and demons are well documented. However, the reports are his wife apparently manipulated him and kept him drunk all the time, requiring a conservatorship.

That isn't normal for any drug addict. Likely, there are effects from long ago. Maybe he suffers from other age related issues. We all do at some point.

But, I'm betting he is much better now that his wife is gone. Sorry. That isn't a "distant stare". That looks like an old guy who has been through hell, but is looking pretty content and lucid.

I'm glad Rusty had a good visit.

To me, Randy looks contented. He has survived a lot of turmoil in life, to say the least! Frankly, I don't think he doesn't look much different than thousands (millions, maybe) of other men in their early 70s. People age differently, and when you throw in the rock-and-roll lifestyle for a decade or two, I'm amazed that so many "hard-living" musicians have made it beyond 40 or 50 when so many have not.

When you first posted this, I tried imagining the song in context to a Cars movie. It seems a little odd, but watching the trailer, that works really well!
