Memories

In 1977, my future wife and I saw a 4-piece Poco play at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, in Southern California. It was an awesome concert with Poco playing one of their tightest gigs ever. When they played "Rose of Cimarron", the curtain behind them pulled back to reveal about a 10-15 piece orchestra. Again, it was awesome and very memorable. My question is, how did they manage to pay the orchestra, for essentially one song. To this day I will always remember that performance.

I have been fortunate enough to see Poco from the first time in Fullerton, CA 1969, to the last time in Corona Del Mar, CA in 2012. Happy anniversary Rusty!

Quite a nice story. Don't think I have read it before on this website or in books, etc.. I hope some of the Poco long term members can shed some light on this, or maybe Rusty will comment if he sees this. I have seen Rusty use recorded music to supplement on ROC, but had not heard of an actual orchestra playing - thanks for sharing .
