My end of 2017 thought

Listening to music beats watching sports, watching tv or movies ... beats the hell out of sports bars ... yousa! This is why I get a little over the top about an album like Wait'n for the Sun. It's like a reward that kind of makes me think, "I like me, I know what's good.".

Eh, maybe I'm crazy. NOT!

My wife Carol and I have seen a number of Poco shows in the last, oh, seven or eight years. Enjoyed every minute. Great memories like the crazy good arrangement of Hard Country .. and much more.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane wrote a wonderful Christmas song in the 1940s called "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

The third verse opens with "Through the years we all will be together, if the Fates allow." In keeping with the spirit of this lyric, we're hosting 4 generations of our family again this year, ranging from 1 to 90 years of age.

So here's my end of 2017 thought: I don't know how many more years we'll have together. But thanks much, Fates, for letting us have THIS one. We're making the most of it.

Couldn't agree with those thoughts more -- kudos to Tim ---- and let's be thankful we may get even more than this one - Go Poco! Let's enjoy the ride 'nuts....

Pretty good year. I enjoyed my first full year of retirement after working pretty-much steady since graduating from WSU in 1976. Highlights were Waitin' For The Sun, moving from a house we lived in for 27 years and the Rockin' Romance Cruise.
