17th January 1969

Postby woogie » Thu Jan 17, 2019 12:47 am

That was the day that my little lady and I got married 50 years ago.
Wow where did all that time go, I guess we have been very lucky to have been together for all that time.Oh yes like everyone says we have never had a cross word, of course not we've had millions of them Lol.
I think the secret of our longevity is that you must give and take, yep I give and she takes, think about it guys we all know who the real boss is don't we.
I am truly a lucky guy to have such a wonderful wife.
Have a nice day y'all.

Sounds like you two have dodged the trap of not knowing what you've got 'till it's gone: you know you have a VERY good thing!

Congratulations, and best wishes to you both from Candy and me.

In todays world, that is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations to you both.

Thanks Pat, I really don't know where 50 years went, it amazes me as I can remember way back to when we first met at a Top Rank dance in 1968.Wow in those days we got up without all the aches and pains of getting old Lol. Getting old aint for sissies.

So true. To paraphrase Jimmy Buffett on this topic:
