POCO featuring Rusty Young

Thoughts and observations.
1. I am looking forward to hearing the whole new CD and I am glad that Rusty's retirement did not take.

2. Latest bookings are now " POCO featuring Rusty Young.

3. Richie and Paul are playing together as the "The Songs and Voices of POCO". I am hoping that Richie and Paul are a big part of any and all of the 50th anniversary shows. Very generous of Rusty to allow the use of the trademarked name POCO by his former partners. Hopefully next year will allow most of the most significant and (healthy) former members to play together. TBS may be busy as his current employer attempts to milk more milk out of the same old birds. (why does TBS only sing lead on 2 songs, while Frey's kid and Vince Gill sing 3-4 songs?--another of Rusty's former coworkers-go to youtube to see Gill and Rusty)

4. Many of the venues for POCO's booking still use an old press release and include George Lawrence as the drummer. It probably doesn't matter much, but, why not correct something that is easily fixed.

I look forward to seeing POCO featuring Rusty Young in Feb of next year. One good thing about living in Fl is that many people want to play here in the winter and I don't have to travel far!

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when we are in the business of rock and roll for 50yrs!
:mrgreen:
I like that instead of the old days when musicians fled Poco, Rusty had the foresight to own it. Now instead of fleeing it, some of these beloved wayward musicians are attaching themselves to back to the brand. Its home, despite a little drama here and there.

I hold nothing against Paul, Richie, Jimmy, Timmy, or any other former member. We all go our own way, and coming home is only a reunion. Love it!
Navy Hymn- O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go.
