Hurricane Irma ("High Water" by Paul Cotton, 1990)

I'm hopeful our friend Paul Cotton was/is able to evacuate from upcoming harm's way. If I'm not mistaken he has a residence in Key West. If anyone happens to have status/info, we'd all have genuine interest in his well-being, of course.

I don't think that Paul and Caroline live in Key West any longer.

Looks like Paul's non-facebook website is down too, though available for the low price of just 99 cents on Godaddy.

If Hurricane Irma goes over the island, neither will anyone else for awhile.

Paul is booked for a couple gigs with Richie Furay in the Denver, CO area on 15-16 September 2017 (http://www.richiefuray.com).
Florida residents will be in our thoughts the next few days.

Paul and Caroline no longer live in Key West. They moved to Oregon.

Paul was a guest artist for the Richie Furay Band last night (16 September 2017). Got to talk with him and Caroline in the lobby of the night club (Nissi's in Lafayette, CO). Thus, I can verify that they "evacuated" safely -- they mentioned that they moved out of Key West a mere three (3) weeks prior to Irma (before any forecast of a hurricane). Someone higher up was looking out for them!

Paul is singing and playing great! (And, so are Richie Furay and his band.) Very nice, friendly people, especially to their fans, as well.

And, since snagged by a University of Montana Professor of English:

Yah, they moved out west. Good for them; nice.

I "liked" Paul's FB page. I'm retiring in 15 months (I'm not counting heh heh) and after that if I'm lucky enough to still be able to do it, I'll be looking to ride my motorcycle FAR to see live music ... and would love to see the Captain.

2017 was a great year ... especially getting Rusty Young's Waitin' for the Sun. Killer.
