Peter Tork passes away

A bit of my childhood is gone! Peter Tork of the Monkees passed away this morning. He was 77. RIP Peter. You brought us a lot of fun music and laughter.

Wasn't a huge fan of the Monkees' albums, but saw all their TV episodes as a teenager. Never saw the complete Monkees in concert. Saw Davey and band at Disneyworld, Nesmith in 2013 with his band, and the Dolenz-Tork Monkees in 2016.

Interesting that a friend from his Greenwich Village days, Stephen Stills, didn't get a Monkees TV series role, but recommended that Tork audition.

I saw him with his blues band at the local Elks lodge (?!) in 2007..good time though it felt a bit spinal tap-ish
