Poco spring northeast tour

Postby marc » Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:09 am

A big week for Poco fans from south New Jersey to New Hampshire. We see the band tomorrow in Manchester NH, then Troy, NY on Thursday and then Tarrytown NY in Sunday. Oh yea, Jim Messina and his band too!

Happy 70th birthday to my wife Sharon!

Hey, think I met you at the Pittsfield show in 2008...big blond guy

busy with the NYS budget due Sunday (head of income and business taxes so always have my hands full) but definitely stepping out for the Troy show...pre-show dinner at the Plumb Oyster Bar, a cool new place 2 blocks from the music hall...maybe I'll see you along the way...

scattered summary

good sized crowd nearly filled the approx. 1,000 seats, many were clearly there mainly for Jimmy (and L&M)

Both played for close to an hour and a half, Rusty sat in for Kind Woman, Better Think Twice and Call it Love with Jimmy

possibly incomplete list, not necessarily in order:

Pickin up the pieces
childs claim to fame
grand junction
heart of the night
indian summer
rose of Cimarron
my friend
all fired up
neil young
? little bit of listen to your heart, nice shout out to Zog and rescue pets everywhere
crazy love
hard country
good feelin to know

the sound there was excellent, good spirits and good time all around

We saw the band Friday, Saturday and Sunday, three great shows all at nice theatres with great sound systems and acoustics.
Special treat on the way to the Saturday show the DJ on WFUV played 30 minutes of Poco including "Listen To Your Heart" and the new version of "Rose" with Chelsea Williams.
