Jesse Colin Young 1941-2025, R.I.P.

Jesse Colin Young (ex-Youngbloods) has died on March, 16. He was 83.

I especially like his Juli album with the song, Ridgetop. I think his biggest hit was Dino Valenti's Get Together.

I saw him once, in 2011, at the Festival Of The River near Arlington WA. An annual Indian pow wow and weekend of music. On Friday of 2011 it was tabbed Sky River 1968 Revisited with some of the bands that played that three day campout music festival near Sultan WA in 1968. Predating Woodstock.

Bands at the Revisit were Young, Big Brother, Canned Heat, Buffy Ste Marie, The Daily Flash and It's A Beautiful Day. My photos at Flickr (tap for captions and descriptions):
