Just back from the trek north, to see and (OMG) hear Poco chase the clouds away.
After a very brief soundcheck the sky just opened up (that was not what any of us wanted to have happen, but unfortunately is what we locals have come to expect - what a summer). The band drove off to get a bite to eat, and I'll bet they were thinkin' this would be a repeat of the recent NJ gig, which was a wash out. NAA - AAH ! They came back swingin', our 'man of steel' pulling out all the stops (with his trusty PSG, 'mandi', dobro, Godin electric, and an acoustic), in addition to the acoustic portions of the set, Paul was takin' his new girl for a spin (that Bird of Paradise took wing, Gretsch should be so proud to have Paul Cotton playin' that baby, thanks for letting the great Northeast be the first to hear her sing), Jack was in great voice, his bass was 'right-on', and to my surprise and delight, this was not just The Trio, but George Lawrence blew my sock off tonight. I started to film the show, until a slew of beautiful girls stormed the stage with moves I'd never seen before (they were toddlers to maybe 7 years old, and one more precious that the next). I started filming the kids dancing to 'the best of Poco' (you see, we all start out with amazing taste in music).

LEGEND (guys, you just burned)
It's always great to see; the lovely Mary, the regular & salted nutz and meet new nutz (putting a face with the name). Keith & Linda, KeithC & Dolores, JonR & Georgine, Zarchary's mom & dad, Mark Gould, Mark, Marc, Mark & Mark (I'm not foolin', we gots lots of them), 'pupilm' you guessed it 'another nice Mark' & his better half Lucie, and I'm so glad I finally got to meet John & Sue. If I left anyone out, shoot me.
The 'man in the full moon' wasn't kidding around tonight, as the sky was so clear he lit my entire way home. Thanks again, Poco, you managed to put a big smile on MsUp's face. My love is for always, you can count on that.
Nite, nite !
