Thanks Dennis. well the day did not quite go as planned but had a nice relaxing day.
Keeping cool was easier said then done with temps at 80F. bit of a heatwave going on here at the moment, makes a change from the drab summers we get most years.

Belated birthday greetings, Rog!! I'm glad you had a good day. I'm late because I've been away...in Los Angeles...taking care of my sister who had surgery to repair her fractured ankle...just as I did last year. I'm fully recovered, so I got to return the favor of care that she gave me last year. We've promised each other to not break anything else.

In any event, I'm right behind you, turning 07 (ahem) this year...and wondering how this happened!!

We're heating up here today, and by Saturday, should be close to 100ºF on the beach...at water's edge. That's pretty rare!! Might have to go for a dip in the Pacific to cool off!

Cheers, and all the best in your new year!!!

Hi Carolyn nice to hear from you again.Well it did not go as planned as the dog was at the vets all day having xrays done on his chest. It was a costly affair £400, and still more tests being done so don't know what they will come to.
Strange that your sister broke her ankle as well as you, that must be painfull.Touch wood I have never broken any bones but just been lucky.
I don't like the heat, it's been hot here for about 2 weeks and we could do with some rain everywhere is parched.
I like the avatar, I love roses especially red one's with that wonderful aroma.
Take care C keep in touch.

Happy belated birthday you old coot!!! How have you managed to make it to 73!!
Thank God you have and many many more mate.
We haven’t swapped stories recently but I hope life finds you well and enjoying life to it’s fullest.
We must catch up via email soon and bring each other up to date.
Hope the pup is doing better. My son just had his gal into the vet last week for X-rays and blood work as well. Seems to have some disc problems that have been causing her some real bad pain and stress.
As Carolyn said have a great new year filled with love and great music.
Your mate, Kev
With courage, strength, faith and hope we will face one day at a time.

Thanks Kev, check your mail box.
Rog.
By the way the dog seems to be a bit better now that he's on meds.We thought we were losing him but hopefully he will make a full recovery. We've had him over 14 years now and life would not be the same without him even though he's costing us a fortune Lol
bless his little cotton socks.

Belated birthday wishes Young Man!

Or perhaps allow me to be the first to wish you a Happy 38th. (a mere 11 months to go.)

Hope you enjoyed the day.
