Thanks. Clever use of Poco phrases for his lyric. Yeah, Hampton's report on the Wildwood weekend was a little "fatalistic". But interesting, and a much better (longer) setlist than Salem, Oregon. I got farther into his other articles but the white print on black background did me in.
Speaking of Wildwood concerts, I watched an excellent Big Interview with Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell today. It got me doing some digging for Dan Peek tidbits. I had read his American Band book several years ago, and today I found an interview with parts that were left out. After Grand Cayman, Peek lived in Missouri, and one involved an attempt by
Rusty to reunite the three at an America concert at
Wildwood. Interview link:
https://boomerocity.com/dan-peek-s-last-interview-part-one.htmlAfter twelve years there, Peek left Grand Cayman in 2002. Beckley and Bunnell recorded a live album there in April of 2002. Coincidence? I wonder if Peek was still there and if the date and place had anything to do with him.
I see that
Rusty plays on Beckley's newest solo album, Five Mile Road, released in September.
